Special Session Meeting
October 24, 2024
Minutes
Present: R. Ballard, T. Busch, K. Swihart, R. Ritzler, S. Byer
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss how to address the list of concerns and complaints presented to the board at the October meeting.
Based on the conversations, it was determined that the below list will determine which have already been addressed, which lack sufficient information to address and which issues will need to addressed to the HR department or the Auditor;
The following numbered questions, which may be referenced by the attached original submission, will be addressed as listed:
In regards to items numbered 4, 10, 13, 14, 15, 24, 25, 28 & 41:
These items are to be directed to the HR and/or Auditor and may require submission of a Public Document Request form.
The following numbered items have been considered already addressed by the board:
1, 2, 11, 16, 17, 18, 23, 26, 29, 31, 32, 34 & 39.
Below are the items the board decided did not need addressed or there was insufficient information to know how to address:
5, 8, 19, 20, & 35.
#3: These decisions are made by the board and harbor masters
#6: This is overseen by the board
#7: Covered in the Lease Agreement
#12: Covered in the 5-year plan
#20: Overseen by Park Board
#22: These will be removed when funds allow
#27: Included in the Federal Grant restoration project
#30: In emergencies please call 911
#33, 36: May be addressed at monthly meetings
#37: All occasional campers are giving rules upon check in
#38: Park Board will address
#40: Bass Lake Beach is a public facility
#42: If required, would be notified by the HML

T. Williams announced that Starke Co. Parks has been selected for State LWCF recommendation and have begun the federal review and approval process.
